John began his career with the John Hancock Financial Network-The Mahoney Group, in early 2008 after spending 14 years in the financial services corporate divisions of two highly respected auto manufactures. He is a 1994 graduate of CornellCollege in Mt Vernon, IA  with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and a 2009 MBA graduate at the University of Dallas. 

Besides spending time with his wife and two daughters he is active in the community being a PTA member and volunteer, his Home Owner Association’s Treasurer and a weekly volunteer at Children’s MedicalCenter in Dallas.  He enjoys many sports as a spectator and a participant.

John strives to help families and businesses address their needs and goals by first understanding his clients and then providing options to help them achieve those needs and goals.  Additionally, John considers customer service a top priority.
